It is with great sadness Delta Deuteron reports that our brother Kevin Montoya ’92 has passed on, to the Omega Charge, surrounded by family and friends, last Friday afternoon, January 31st, 2020.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday March 14th, 2020 at the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church, at 2:00 pm.

Brother Montoya was a loyal fraternity member, and can be credited with stepping in to save the Charge a decade ago at a crucial moment. He adopted a bold leadership strategy which set the house on the path to success, that it currently enjoys to this day. As President of the BA Board, Kevin initiated a major fundraising program, hired a property management company, worked through difficult financing (including putting his own money up as a loan), and created an Education Fund that helped members stay in school.
In the photo, Kevin hands a check to brother Anthony Lopez from the Delta Deuteron Educational Foundation, which Kevin initiated. Anthony was able to stay in school and continued on to graduate from Cal.
